(HELP MY FRIEND OUT BY WRITING A LETTER TO THE U.S. EMBASSY IN SEOUL, KOREA.)
So, if you don’t want to read this (short) article, i’ll give you the low down- currently a good friend of mine’s parents went back to Korea to renew their visas in April, and apparently because their business “suffered financially” in 2009, they can’t come back into the country. Apparently that means they were not able to “provide more than enough income to provide for the owner’s family.”
So, this has resulted in my friend being stuck in Oregon while his parents are stuck in Korea, which in turn has meant him trying to run the business on his own and attend university, which in turn resulted in him closing down the business and dropping out of school, which in turn has also resulted in possible foreclosure of their house and the need to sell their belongings due to the possibility that he has to move back to Korea.
Let’s get some points goin here-
-My friend and his family have been LEGAL residents in the U.S. for YEARS
-They are not starving or living on the streets. i’m fairly certain there are other immigrant families that make less money than they do and they are still here. even after their business lost some money when they MOVED their business to another location (what business doesn’t suffer slightly for a little while when doing so??) (oh yeah and 2009 sucked) they still didn’t lose their business…clearly they were not doing THAT bad
-My friend attends Oregon State University, which is a university known all around the country, he is not a shit kid
-My friend and his family are incredibly hard-working people.
So, even though this family is has integrated into American society and abides by these god damn laws to be legal citizens, and for one bullshit reason the US takes every god damn thing this family has? Oh yeah and let’s just emphasize here….YOU TOOK AWAY MY FRIEND’S PARENTS. HE IS ALONE IN THE GOD DAMN US WITH PRETTY MUGH NOTHING. OH GOOD, REALLY GOOD, GOOD ONE, AMERICA.
IN CASE YOU DIDN’T READ ANY OF THAT FOR SOME GOD DAMN REASON, all i’m going to ask is that you help out by writing a letter to the U.s. Embassy in Seoul. I realize hardly any of you actually know my friend personally, but I don’t think you need to know much more than the situation to see how it’s fucked.
